Becoming a partner
When you join Openwork as an Appointed Representative, you don’t just plug into a network – you
get the opportunity to become a partner in it.
As an Appointed Representative, you’re eligible to become a partner of The Openwork Partnership
LLP, giving you a genuine ownership stake in one of the UK’s leading advice networks.
Partnership means more than just affiliation. It means having a voice in how we run our business,
sharing in its long-term success and directly benefiting from the value you help create.
Your ownership in the Partnership is represented through units, which reflect both your contribution
today and the growth you generate over time.
How unit allocation works
Units are allocated annually and are based on
two factors:
• Your contribution to the Partnership, and
• The growth in that contribution year
on year.
Your contribution is calculated from your fee
income over the calendar year.
As a simple illustration, an advice
business generating £100,000 in annual
fee income might typically deliver around
£20,000 of contribution to the Partnership.
Unit allocations are based on this £20,000
contribution figure, not the headline
fee income.
This approach ensures that ownership is
directly linked to meaningful participation in
the success of the network.
A new partner generating
approximately £100,000 per annum in
fee income would typically contribute
around £20,000 per annum to the
Partnership.
Assuming six months of trading in
year one and a full year in year two,
this level of contribution could result
in the partner owning 27 units after 18
months.
Unit allocations are calculated on a
calendar year basis, rather than by
joining anniversary.
The value of your units
Rewarding contribution and
growth
Each unit represents a share in The Openwork
Partnership and may deliver value in two
key ways:
Each year, partners are rewarded in two
distinct ways:
• Dividend payments linked to overall
business performance, and
• Participation in the underlying value of
the Partnership.
• Units allocated for the total level of
contribution made, and
• Additional units awarded for growth
compared with the previous year.
In short, the more you contribute – and the
more you grow – the greater your ownership
stake becomes.

Illustrative example
The most recent independent valuation of the
Group, conducted by Stephens Europe, valued
each unit at £440. On this basis, 27 units would
equate to a value of £11,880.
The dividend paid per unit in 2025 was £24.36.
