Fantastic fundraisers
Lindon-Travers Race Day
Congratulations to the Lindon-Travers family on another wonderful race
day in memory of George. This was the 11th outing of this special day
and the running total for all events is now around an incredible 240K.
“What can I say - we absolutely smashed it on Thursday. The 11th such
event was truly amazing. Early indications suggest we raised over £40k
for our charities: Challengers, The Elifar Foundation, White Lodge and
The Openwork Foundation.
It goes without saying what makes the day so great is the support
from all the table hosts and their guests who give so generously
buying tables and contributing to all the auctions and raffle. We could
not do it without you - eternal thanks.
George’s memory lives on and strong - he will never be forgotten. This
legacy that you support helps the lives of so many disadvantaged kids
and young adults, giving them access to services the state does not
provide. The Lindon-Travers Family are so deeply grateful to you all.”

“The weather didn’t exactly cooperate, but that didn’t stop us. A
great day out on the course with the team. Good golf, good company,
and all in support of the Openwork Foundation. Exactly the kind of
day that reminds you why the people around you matter as much as
the work itself.”
Nick Hayes, Pia Financial, North East Golf Day
“What a fantastic Golf Day! Claire Nicholl and I are delighted to share
that, thanks to the generosity and support of everyone involved, we
raised an amazing £4,179 including the Openwork matched funding!
Events like this only succeed because so many people play their part,
so a grateful for support from the club, provider partners and Alan
Ferguson for managing the rules and scoring. And most importantly,
all of our players, whose craic, camaraderie and generosity make the
day such a success every year.”
