Foundation Impact Report 2025 - Report - Page 2
Foreword
Welcome to our 2024 Impact Report, a celebration of our achievements
over the last year and the meaningful impact of our volunteering efforts
and grants programme.
We’re immensely proud to have supported over 70,000 disadvantaged
people through 84 charities with over £800,000 in funding towards vital
projects. Grant-making charities, including the Openwork Foundation,
saw increased demand for help as the cost-of-living crisis and inflation
continued to drain resources and funding for essential services while
demand increased.
Throughout 2024, people from across The Openwork Partnership came
together to support our mission through volunteering and fundraising.
From marathons and triathlons to an epic cycle across Sri Lanka and a
mission to summit Snowdon, it has been an absolute inspiration to see
people uniting and pushing their limits to raise money for causes that
really matter.
Regular giving is the cornerstone of our work, accounting for nearly half
of all funds raised in 2024. We are sincerely grateful for every contribution;
your generosity enables us to continue making a difference.
2024 brought some exciting developments for the Foundation. We laid
out an ambitious plan to expand our work to support those in need in
our communities. We welcomed Alex Davies as Head of Sustainability
and the Openwork Foundation, bringing with him a wealth of experience
from previous roles at Cancer Research UK, St. James’s Place Charitable
Foundation and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. We also created two new
roles to further enhance our communications and fundraising.
We couldn’t do any of this without the incredible support we receive
from our people, our firms, and The Openwork Partnership as a whole.
In addition to covering most of our operational and running costs, The
Openwork Partnership uplifts all funds raised (including Gift Aid) by 50%,
dramatically amplifying the impact of every penny fundraised or donated.
Thank you for your invaluable and continued support.

Chair of Trustees of the Openwork Foundation
