National 3 Peaks
A mountainous fundraising challenge on a blazing weekend!
On the hottest weekend of the year so far, Phil Champan, Ian
Gourley, Matt Latham, Rory Avery and Alex Davies, set off for
Scotland to start their epic challenge, to take on the National Three
Peaks. They began their ascent of Ben Nevis at 6:30 am on Saturday,
pushed through the night to conquer Scafell Pike, and summited Yr
Wyddfa as the sun rose on Sunday morning, reaching the peak at
5:50 am, well within their 24-hour target.
So far, the team have raised over £10,000 for the Foundation. The
challenge is no mean feat whatever the weather, but the soaring
temperatures made it truly heroic.
