Facilities MHA Event
The Facilities Team recently hosted a tea party for charity MHA who
offer social activities for older people.
“I just want to mention your team – WOW they are all amazing,
how each person took the time to sit with each table and have a
conversation, it really meant a lot to them. And again, please give
my thanks to the chef. Food was incredible, as were the sweet treats.
Thank you again for the most wonderful afternoon”.

Donning our gardening gloves for
local charities
The Technology Architecture team came together to help reclaim the
community garden behind a local library which hadn’t been used since
before the Covid pandemic. The team got busy cutting back hedges and
grass, clearing debris and prepping fences and furniture for painting, so the
area can be made suitable for community activities for people of all ages.
Meanwhile the HR team got busy in the gardens at Prospect Hospice,
helping spruce up the area to keep it looking beautiful for patients and
their loved ones.
Both teams had a superb day, enjoying spending time outside together
doing some worthwhile for the community.
Funding a hoist for therapy pool users
Thamesdown Hydrotherapy Pool is a fantastic resource for people
with disabilities. Each week around 600 people including children from
local SEN schools, and disabled and elderly adults use the pool. Many
of them are wheelchair users who need a hoist to help get in and out
of the pool, but the current hoist is getting old and unreliable. The
Openwork Foundation has recently awarded them £15,000 towards a
new hoist to ensure the pool can be safely used by many users for years
to come.
