Our history with
Fields of Life
The latest grant
and its impact
The charity was first nominated for an
Openwork Foundation grant by ALM
Financial in 2012 and the firm continues to
be an active supporter with Principal Claire
Nicholl spending time in Africa volunteering
to support their work. She is now working
with the Openwork Foundation to plan a
volunteering trip in early 2027 which is open
to colleague and advisers from the network.
In 2025 the charity was awarded a £15,000
grant to construct and equip a fourclassroom block at Namatumba Primary in
Eastern Uganda, to address overcrowding,
use of temporary structures and seasonal
flooding which means children are forced to
learn on the ground in unsafe conditions. This
latest project will enable 3,296 vulnerable
children to safely access quality education,
providing lifelong opportunities.
