Supporting
charities: Caudwell
Youth
About Caudwell Youth
Not all young people have the same opportunities in
life. Caudwell Youth exists to level the playing field
and empower young people aged 11 to 24 who are
at risk, through mentoring and youth-led support.
They work to increase young people’s engagement
with their community, bettering their relationships,
finances and overcoming personal hurdles.
The grant and its impact
A £15,000 Openwork Foundation grant, nominated by DSNY Wealth Planning, is funding
mentoring for vulnerable children and young people, helping them to overcome
disadvantage, build resilience and independence and achieve fulfilling and positive futures.
Each young person is allocated a trusted adult who meets with them once a week to
support them, ensuring they feel safe, heard and supported.
The programme has a proven impact. More than 80% of participants show improved
mental health, resilience and engagement in education, and 95% demonstrate a reduction in
offending behaviour.
“Supporting the Openwork Foundation is incredibly important to me and to our
team at DSNY Wealth. We’ve seen first-hand how the Foundation makes a real difference,
and being part of that feels genuinely rewarding. Last year, our team took on the Yorkshire
Three Peaks Challenge, and it was inspiring to see everyone come together, pushing
themselves physically and pulling together for the cause.
I’m particularly proud to see charities I’ve nominated, like Caudwell Youth, benefiting from the
Foundation’s support. Knowing that our involvement helps create better futures for young
people is exactly why we remain fully committed to support the Foundation’s work.”
