Foundation Week
From 19-23 May, Foundation
Week brought together people
from across the Partnership in a
joint celebration of 20 years of
the Openwork Partnership and
the work of the Foundation.
Bowling with BATS
On Monday Four teams from
Openwork and Omnis took part
in a fantastic inter company ten
pin bowling evening with Swindon
BATS Sports and Social Club for
the visually impaired.
The evening included being
challenged to bowl whilst wearing
specially adapted glasses and
blindfolds to give an insight into
the experience of navigating
activities with a visual impairment.
Marcus Cossey won bragging
rights as the Partnership’s highest
scorer for the evening!
Online Quiz
Colleague Champions hosted a
live Kahoot quiz with a fun mix
of general knowledge questions.
The event was such a success the
Champions are now planning to
host a quarterly quiz online.
Business Management
Bake Sale
The Business Management
team also hosted a bake-sale
in Auckland House with an
incredible spread of delicious
delights which raised a fantastic
£662, including The Partnership
50% uplift.

Foundation
Ambassadors Day
and Charities Fair
Thursday saw representatives
from Partner Firms join with
Colleagues Champions at
Auckland House for a special
Ambassador Day, to celebrate
and reflect on the work of
the Foundation. A number
of charities which have been
supported by the Foundation also
joined us for a lunchtime Charity
Fair. It was a great opportunity
for people to get involved in fun
activities and hear directly from
charities about the impact of the
Foundation’s grant programmes.
Champion’s Games
Throughout the week, the
competition hotted up in the
tabletop basketball and Mario
Kart competitions, hosted by
Foundation Colleague Champions.
Despite Peter Jones sharing all
his tips and coaching others,
no-one quite managed
to match his Mario Kart
score and he took home
the prize for fastest lap,
with Jack Cole and Emily
McGaw also on the podium
in 2nd and 3rd.
Competition was just as
fierce on the basketball,
culminating in a tie
between Michelle
Fogarty and Dan Vaughan.
Harry Davis was the lucky
winner of the word search
draw.
A special thank you to our
Facilities Team and Social
Committee for their support
during the week and making all
this possible.
